The Swallows Children's Home, Canvey Island, Essex

'The Swallows' children's home was located on the north side of The Lake at Canvey Island, thought to be at the south side of what is now Harvest Road, between the present-day Antony Cloase and Protea Way. The home was opened in around 1922 in memory of local minister James Dunn. It stood adjacent to another establishment, Miss James' girls' home.
