Industrial School for Destitute Girls, Bath, Somerset
In 1860-61, a Certified Industrial School for Destitute Girls was briefly in operation at 5 Walcot Parade Bath. In 1861, there were 11 inmates aged from 11 to 17 years. The matron was Jane Bowyer, with her daughter Mary as Assistant Matron.
