Evendine Court Training School, Colwall, Herefordshire
In 1896, Mrs Marian Buck founded a girls' training establishment at Evendine Court, a large house on Evendine Lane, Colwall, Herefordshire. During the 95 years or so of its existence, it was variously known as a School of Household Training, a School of Domestic Exonomy, a College for Home Economics, and, more informally, as a "finishing school".
In 1902, the campus was greatly enlarged in the Arts and Crafts style to emulate a classic Victorian country estate, explicitly designed to teach young ladies how to properly run and manage such properties.
Over the years, the school's principals included Georgina Baird, Patience Peacey, and Miss Freeman.
The School site is shown on the 1903 map below.

In 1938, the school joined with two others (St James's, West Malvern, and Abbot's Hill, Hemel Hempstead) in forming a single trust, though each retained its existing principals.
In 1991 merged, the school merged with Malvern's St James's School and the Abbey Schhool. In a rationalisation of the various premises, Evendine Court was sold in 1994 and was subsequently converted to apartments.
