Fornham House, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

In 1939, a Barnardo's evacuation home for boys aged from 5 to 11 was opened at Fornham House in the village of Fornham St Martin, near Bury St Edmunds.

The home closed in July 1945 with the boys then being transferred to the Old Roar House home at St Leonards on Sea in Sussex.

Fornham House still survives and is now a residential home.
